The Truth about Silence Revealed
More than golden, its empowering. And I reach the cutting edge to look at Spiritual Silence, which is a higher form of silence
Silence is golden. Or so we’ve heard.
But what we haven’t heard is, silence is also empowering.
Silence not only leads to getting in touch with our inner self, but also increases our creative ability.
3 Ways to get it
The way to practice or get this silence is by being intellectually quiet, that is engaging in some activity that doesn’t call upon our grey cells. Such activities are gardening, or spending time with a pet, etc.
Another way of producing silence is by practicing being non-critical of ourselves, or of anyone around us. This helps bring about inner solitude, as it cuts down our mental agitation, which comes from being judgemental (and being non-critical is good for our health too!).
But by far the best way to bring about silence in our daily life is meditation. Meditation is so important, that those who know, insist that it be done at least twice a day for about 20 minutes each. If 20 minutes a day is difficult to adhere to, it’s possible to get away with 10 minutes, two times a day.
Spiritual Silence is the game changer
Meditation is the also the only way to access a higher form of silence called Spiritual Silence, which in turn gives us access to internal reflection and allows us to make a deeper connection with our spiritual self. Plus it exponentially boosts our creative potential, much more than ordinary silence, enabling us to devise ways to fulfil our dreams, review our past actions, develop new and better ways to move forward, and so on. In other words, Spiritual Silence is the game changer.
To clarify: Spiritual Silence cannot be got through quiet moments. It is a more sophisticated state of mind, which needs a dedicated spiritual method like meditation or chanting.
So stillness is nearer to us than our own backyards. The importance of creating daily stillness cannot be over emphasised, and the best part is that it’s easy to do. It’s a free power given to us by Nature.
Come, let’s access Silence and Spiritual Silence by trying out one of the above ideas today.
These are invaluable benefits, which we should use to nourish and empower ourselves.
